Omo Amadasun Foundation

Our mission is rooted in faith, generosity, and service — to continue the legacy of Revd. Dr. Omoregie Amadasun, a man whose life was a testament of love, humility, and devotion to God’s work. “To be his heart to think, his hands to reach out.”

Remembering Rev. Dr. Omoregie Amadasun (1934–2024)

“Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23

Rev. Dr. Omoregie Amadasun lived a life wholly dedicated to God — marked by faith, humility, and tireless service. Born on June 26, 1934, in Evbokunden Iyekogba Village, Edo State, his journey from humble beginnings to a life of profound spiritual and social impact was guided by divine providence.

After losing his father at a young age, his elder brother, Pa O.K.H. Amadasun, sacrificed his own education to support him — an act of love that inspired his lifelong commitment to service, mentorship, and education. His Christian journey began in 1952 at Ogbe Baptist Church (now Central Baptist Church, Benin City). What started as a school requirement became the turning point of his destiny. In 1955, he gave his life to Christ and was baptized by Rev. O.C. Robinson, and by 1959, he answered God’s call to full-time ministry under the mentorship of Rev. I.B. Nwosu. Together, they labored in evangelism and church planting, and he became known among the legendary “Nwosu pastors” — men renowned for faith, humility, and sacrificial service.
